Overview

Unisys is a company to watch in the cloud computing market. Perhaps not known as an industry leader, even with a history that stretches over 100 years, this latest evolution of computing might be the wave that raises their profile and unlocks the company's true potential. Value Proposition

Unisys Secure Cloud is a the company's public cloud offering with "patent-pending Stealth technology" that includes advanced encryption (FIPS 140-2 certified) and the ability to slice and dice data as it moves into and out of the cloud ensuring it cannot be viewed or re-assembled without permission. Secure Cloud, also, allows businesses "to modernize IT and application environments, while lowering TCO and safeguarding data and operations."

Unisys Secure Private Cloud takes elements from the Secure Cloud solution and packages them up for deployment behind the corporate firewall to create a private cloud for the enterprise.   • Unisys Secure Cloud consists of a suite of on-demand solutions for compute resources, application services, and building a company's own cloud-based platform. In addition to the typical benefits of on-demand infrastructure and platfrom services - pay-as-you-go, elasticity, agility - the Secure Cloud "is built upon a patent-pending security technology foundation that breaks new ground in data protection."

  • Unisys Secure Private Cloud allows organizations to deploy an internal private cloud within their enterprise. It "enables automated virtual provisioning and repurposing of IT resources on the fly and provides automated resource tracking to facilitate allocation of IT usage costs to specific groups" and is administered through a self-service portal. It brings the benefits of cloud computing directly into the enterprise and can be customized with the help of the companys' consulting services.

  • Cloud Transformation Services are a delivered by the company's professional services arm and offer a step-by-step process for the assessment, planning, design, and implementation of cloud computing services for businesses and government organizations.
