Overview

CohesiveFT is a provider of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) that compliments virtualization and cloud computing platforms, whether public, private, or hybrid clouds.

CohesiveFT's Elastic Server platform provides a cross-platform virtual appliance or, as they say, a "factory" for building and deploying custom stacks and servers using VMware, Xen, Parallels, or Amazon EC2.

In addition, there is VPN-Cubed, a compliment to the Elastic Server platform. It extends the reach of cloud-based computing to enterprises by allowing them to set up secure networking and control between their servers across a single cloud, across multiple clouds, and between clouds and private infrastructure. VPN-Cubed gives IT managers control of addressing, protocol, topology, and secure communications.

Value Proposition

The Elastic Server platform helps improve the quality, consistency, manageability of building and deploying a cloud or virtual environment. It is also flexible and time-efficient because the environment can be customized on-demand, using open source, commercial, and/or proprietary code. Elastic Server works to free up IT resources better spent on the business, not on maintaining IT infrastructure.

VPN-Cubed provides enterprises with security and control over sensitive data in the cloud, improving risk reduction and fault tolerance. It acts as an "encrypted LAN in a single cloud and as an encrypted WAN across multiple clouds, allowing cloud-based clusters to appear to be part of one physical network." Businesses can, therefore, use the cloud for redundancy, failover, and scalability during critical transitions, whether scaling up to grow the business or scaling down to cut costs.

• The Elastic Server platform is a virtual appliance or "factory" for building and deploying custom stacks and servers to virtual machines or clouds. Once the server bill of materials is defined, then the ES platform is used to capture that information, automate the assembly of the cloud servers, and reproduce them as needed with speed and quality.
• VPN-Cubed provides enterprises with a way to maintain a customer-controlled security perimeter over their assets inside a single cloud, across multiple clouds, and between clouds and private infrastructure. It is an overlay network that acts as an "encrypted LAN in a single cloud and as an encrypted WAN across multiple clouds, allowing cloud-based clusters to appear to be part of one physical network." There are two ways companies can connect their datacenter to Amazon EC2 depending on their needs.
