Overview

3Tera is a developer of system software for utility and cloud computing and was one of the first cloud vendors in the market to deliver a Platform as a Service (PaaS) offering.

3Tera's AppLogic integrates the user interface, grid operating system, metering, and billing into one complete platform to help speed application development and deployment. It gives customers, for example, the ability to create and package applications as an on-demand service; utilize a prepackaged infrastructure to deploy applications; scale on-demand applications without the necessity of a multi-tenant system; and develop a massively scalable, customized application infrastructure. In fact, many service providers (SPs) use AppLogic as the foundation for their cloud offerings.

AppLogic can be accessed via 3tera's global network of partners or it can be used by enterprise within its own data center. Their global network extends to North America, South America, Europe and Asia, with Australia soon to follow.
